 Once upon a time...

That is how fairy tales begin, but I want to tell you a true story that started a long time ago and is still happening ... ...

In the 20th century, about 60 years ago, in the heart of the mountains of Bibbiena (Italy), there lived a family of artisans: the head of the family – Luigi Puddu, his wife – Maria Puddu and their 2 sons. Family’s vocation and what they did with pleasure was manufacturing various types of straw bags that were appreciated by women for their unique styles. Because nothing makes a woman happier than the feeling of being beautiful. That was an activity that kept the family close together and made it even stronger.

 Their hobby became later a successful family business.

In the middle 60s, they extended their activity by starting to produce clothing knitwear. Following the huge demand for  their new products, they increased their team to almost 600 employees.

 Therefore, in the early 70s, Puddu family purchased their first mechanical knitting machine which increased production, quality and efficiency. This way it accelerated their growth to the point when they started exporting the products to the United Kingdom, the USA, France and Germany. At that time, the company produced knitted jumpers and accessories such as hats and scarves which were decorated with pearls, beads and other decorative objects. All of which were made with love and dedication.

 The technical progress made the 80s a significant period for the textile industry. During that time the company was already producing huge amounts of fine knitted items. The majority of these items were made of high-quality natural yarns such as different varieties of wool, cotton and others.

 The 90s were difficult for the entire Europe, including the textile industry.

 Many companies started to emigrate with the purpose to lower the production costs. This way the Company made its way to Moldova.

 They were in the right place and at the right time.

In 2011 the company felt the need to make themselves more reputable, more identifiable and easier to reach. So they made another big step in their success and that was to create the brand named O’devalle. This is the name that makes the Company famous until present.

 Now, a team of technologists and many other professionals with a vast knowledge and experience in knitwear industry are working hard day by day to impress and offer priceless knitted clothes.

 Thanks to these people O’devalle produces high quality and delicate knitwear styles carefully designed and in accordance with the Italian fashion trends. These clothes are worn until these days and will be worn with dignity and pride by those who buy them.

“And they lived happily ever after…” – Probably that is what you’d expect a regular fairy tale to end with, but our story is not an ordinary one, it still continues to happen and will happen for a long time.
